Given Abramovich's most recent admissions concerning payoffs and protection money, it is logical to assume that his relationship with Putin was formed the exact same way. If not for Abramovich's close ties to Putin, he would have suffered the same fate as Berezovsky and Khodorkovsky. Google the words "ROMAN ABRAMOVICH VOUCHERS" to see all of the investigative reporting on this issue and Than Google "ROMAN ABRAMOVICH $4.8 BILLION IMF FRAUD" to see the reporting concerning Abramovich's offshore slush funds.
